Hi, I'm Rita! Menopause Fitness Specialist

I've always been a mover. I got my BFA in dance, choreography and performance from Ohio State University and performed professionally in NYC. As a dancer, I always struggled with my weight and body image.

I fell in love with Barre in 2009, and became a nationally certified Barre instructor and certified personal trainer (NASM).  I created BolderBARRE® in 2012 and founded my own studio in 2016. In 2020, I founded Living Bolder®  to serve the unique needs of women in perimenopause and beyond.

In my mid-forties I discovered my body was changing - the things that once worked no longer delivered results. It wasn’t until I began Strength Training that I saw lasting positive changes in my body. For the past 2 years, I’ve immersed myself in what the top experts and research has to say about fitness and wellness for women over 40.

 I created my Bolder STRONG strength training programs exclusively for the unique needs of midlife women. Each week contains a carefully planned mix of Strength, HIIT and Mobility workouts. 

I've been teaching dance, movement and fitness for over 4 decades and have taught over 3,000 classes.
